Holiday Champagne Cocktail

This cocktail is a twist on the Classic French 52. It’s not only refreshing, but we also add a festive holiday twist by adding in a few bright cranberries.

I heard someone joke just the other day that December is ‘alcoholism month.’ With all of parties, ceremony, and tradition – not to mention the sheer amount of time with friends and family in the darkness of Winter – it’s no wonder we want to reach for a drink!

That said, it’s also the time of year when we reflect and celebrate those who make our lives rich.

Beware, they do go down almost a little too easily! You may forget they are more than just champagne!

This is a delicious twist on a glass of champagne! It looks like a simple festive glass of champagne…but beware! It is much stronger.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz champagne, (1 part)
  • 1 oz vodka, (1 part)
  • 2 oz white grape juice, (2 parts)
  • cranberries, fresh or sugared (for garnish, if desired)

Instructions
 

  • Add the vodka and white grape juice to a glass. Give it a quick stir.
  • Top with champagne. Add a fresh (or sugared) cranberry or two as garnish.

Laura’s Tips + Notes

No need to open the fancy champagne when you are using it in a cocktail. Save the expensive stuff for appreciating on its own!
