Lomi Lomi Salmon

Lomi Lomi Salmon is a delicious authentic Hawaiian recipe that makes a refreshing appetizer or side dish. 



This recipe totally took me back to my vacation on Oahu with my best friends in college. Plate lunch and lomi lomi. So good.

Start by sprinkling a salmon filet with salt and sugar. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Cook the fish in lime juice

Add lime juice to the diced salmon and let it set while you prep the rest of the ingredients.

Chop fresh tomatoes

Juicy, fresh tomatoes is the main ingredient in lomi lomi. think salsa marries ceviche.

Sweet Onion

Add diced sweet onion.


Srain the salmon and add it to the bowl. Top with sliced green onions and serve with your favorite Hawaiian recipe or as an appetizer with crostini.
