Toss to coat and let marinate for about 2 hours. Steak should be at room temperature for at least an hour before you grill it.
Cook steak on the grill, or pan-sear it. I like to use a sous-vide to prepare the steak. (see detailed instruction in the notes.)
Sweet Potatoes
While steak in marinating, preheat oven to 425℉
Cut sweet potatoes into fries.
Place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Drizzle with oil, salt and toss to coat.
Spread evenly on the baking sheet.
Roast for about 15-20 minutes. Until they are tender and golden brown.
Balsamic Vinaigrette
Add salt and pepper to a bowl.
Add balsamic vinegar.
Whisk together. Slowly add oil while continuing to whisk.
RECIPE TIPS
Sous-Vide:If you are using a sous-vide follow the manufacturers instructions for setting up your water bath and setting up the timing for the thickness and doneness for your steak. Grill:To finish a sous-vide steak on the grill, you will only need to grill it on high for 2 minutes on each side. To grill a steak if you are NOT using a sous vide. Grill on high.Make sure your steak is at room temperature before it goes on the grill. Grill time will depend on the thickenss of you your steak. Rest you steak for 10 minutes after it comes of the grill. Cover it in foil and let it set at room temperature for 10 minutes. Pan-Sear: To finish a sous-vide steak in a pan, you will only need to pan-sear the steak it high for 2 minutes on each side. I usually use butter in the skillet. The pan-sear a steak if you are NOT using a sous vide. Sear on high.Make sure your steak is at room temperature before you pan-sear it. Cooking time will depend on the thickenss of you your steak. Rest you steak for 10 minutes after it comes of the pan. Cover it in foil and let it set at room temperature for 10 minutes.
