How to Make Croutons

This crouton recipe is so easy to make at home. It's a great way to use up stale bread.

Cut stale bread into bite-size pieces.

make garlic oil

Steep minced garlic in olive oil. Let it sit for about 15 minutes. Strain the oil into a large bowl and then press the garlic against a fine mesh sieve with the back of a spoon to collect as much garlic oil as possible.

Toss with the seasoned olive oil and 2 to 3 tablespoons of shredded parmesan cheese.

Spread bread in a single layer on a heavy-rimmed baking sheet.


Bake for 20 minutes, tossing once during cooking until the bread is toasted and a nice golden brown.
